Hundreds applied for the chance to make their concepts a reality. Working with Acast, the world’s largest podcast company, and award-winning production company Wisebuddah, the three finalists have now gone from pitch to pilot with their fresh new podcast ideas.

Listeners can vote for their favourite LaunchPod pilot by either:

  • Subscribing to the show on Apple Podcasts

  • Leaving a rating and review on Apple Podcasts

  • Casting your vote here!

The results will be taken into consideration by the judges, who will then pick an overall winner.

Voting opens on July 1st and runs until 23:59 on July 31st. The winners will be announced later this summer.

Saredo & Surer Mohamed

On Things We Left Behind is a story-driven podcast that explores the hidden afterlife of war. In what ways does leaving your country behind shape the life that you rebuild? That’s the question that the hosts, daughters of Somali refugees, seek to explain. The podcast takes an in-depth look into the lives of those who were made to start all over, and meditates on the things that are left behind in war’s wake.

We were absolutely bowled over by the quality of the entries we received. What’s so awesome to see is that there is so much untapped creative podcast talent out there in the UK. It was a tough choice to whittle such a great pool of ideas down to just three, but we can’t wait to see the public reaction to each of the very different finalists we’ve chosen.
