Are you the UK's next podcast star?

Have you got a brilliant podcast idea? Are you the star of the next My Dad Wrote a Porno? Could you uncover the next Serial? If so, LaunchPod wants to hear from you...

The prize? Your podcast idea could be brought to life by top production company Wisebuddah and leading podcast platform Acast - we've joined forces to help one winner professionally produce, launch and market their show.

What we're looking for

We're looking for something that makes the most of the podcast format - we want original ideas, amazing stories and new voices.

It could be an audio drama, a comedy show, a real-life investigation, a round table or a completely new format about any subject you like.

How to enter

  • Tell us about your podcast idea and who you imagine listening to it
  • Submit a piece of audio or a short script – no longer than 10 minutes in listening or reading time (but don’t worry about audio quality for now).

Deadline: 9pm 18 June 2018

You can read the full terms and conditions here. If you have any questions, email launchpod@acast.com

The prize AND PROCESS

Our judging panel – featuring top podcasters, journalists and producers in the UK – will select three semi-finalists.

Each semi-finalist will work with Wisebuddah and Acast to produce a pilot episode.

These three pilots will be made available on Apple Podcasts, the Acast app and other podcast platforms – and listeners will vote for their favourite. The listener vote will be considered by the judges and a winner will be announced.

The winning podcaster will work with Wisebuddah to bring the first series of their production to life! They will host their podcast on Acast and receive launch, content, artwork and promotional support from the Acast team.

So if you want to be the next podstar - enter now.
